1.      Simple Present Tense

Simple Present Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan habitual action / rutinitas dan fakta-fakta umum (sekarang).

Rumus: (+)    S + V1 (s/es) (-)     S + do/does+ not + V1 (?)     Do/does + s + V1 Untuk subject I, you, they, we → V1 Untuk subject She, He, It → V1 + (s/es)

For example: Egi takes a bath twice a day I take a bath twice a day You make the cake They open the door It opens the door

a.        (+)      I try my best

(–)        I do not try my best

(?)        Do I try my best?

b.      (+)       We like the beach so much

(-)        We do not like the beach so much

(?)        Do we like the beach so much?

c.       (+)       She always drinks fresh water

(-)        She does not always drink fresh water

(?)        Does she always drink fresh water?

2.      Simple Past Tense

Simple Past Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang sudah terjadi atau lampau.

            Rumus:

(+)    S + V₂

(-)     S + Did + Not + V₁

(?)     Did + S + V₁
